A new (veggie) patch

Do you grow some of your own herbs and veggies? If you do, you’ll know just the feeling I’m trying to describe, the thrill of picking something from your own pot or plot to add to a meal. It’s a strange thing to describe, that connection to nature, excitement and pride that all combines into a big thrill.

Today the smalls and I are taking a step closer to making this new home feel just so. We are planting the winter veg seeds in little trays upon the kitchen windowsill. Fifteen different herbs and veg. I can’t wait to see what will come from these little pots of hope!

Even without a garden, perhaps you can grow herbs on the windowsill in little pots? It’s going to take a while to get Mr to build the patches, am really hoping this spurs him on :)
