Late Night Stitching

My favourite time of day :: it’s 10:30pm, the whole house is asleep, the pot of tea is brewing next to me and I’m sewing.

It’s the one time of day when the house is quiet and I have an hour or so to just be. Some people are fortunate enough to rise before their family and fit in their time in the early hours of the day. That time of day is so peaceful and certainly my mind would be more rested but our children are early risers so they beat me out of bed almost every day.

Now that the girls will settle a little easier at bed time, the evenings, they are mine.

Tonight I am trying to channel my inner Cheryl Arkison (who is freakin awesome, just in case you weren’t aware of that) and use up some of the LV stash – I am a fan of big bold colour so there’s some random bits of Liberty for extra prettiness!

These pieces are destined for a gift for Monday and I need two matching ones so best I get a wriggle on!

Are you a morning or night person? When do you make time for your crafting? And please tell me I’m not alone in leaving things to the last minute even when I’ve been planning them for months?!
