I’m Jules and I live on a wildlife reserve just outside the Canberra, Australia’s national capital. You’ll find me here with my love, the ever-patient Mr and my three spirited young daughters.

My much-loved professional life is as an improvisational quilt-maker, quilting teacher and aspiring pattern maker. When I’m not quilt making (and even when I am) you’ll find me being a Mumma, wife, crafter, baker, dishwasher, story reader, paper airplane builder, wound dresser, hug & kiss giver and all round mess maker. I also sit on the Board of Directors of the Modern Quilt Guild and am the founder and current president of the Canberra MQG.

I blog sporadically. As well as having an unhealthy fabric obsession, I am stitching and crafting obsessed. Addicted to tea. And cake. Love to cook. And eat. Despise housework. Honour second-hand. Passionate. Obstinate. Procrastinator. Not subtle. Or tactful. Earnest.

I dream of slow. Stitching and baking help me find that pace I so desire. This is my space to share crafting, food and life in general (although you won’t find all the nitty gritty whiny bits here as I save all that for when there’s actual wine!).

Thanks for stopping by, let me know where your space is so I can come visit. We’ll have tea. And cake.

I love your blog and it’s name. I love how and what you write. I am chief procrastinator. I find making up my mind the hardest thing to do.

Patti, thank you. You are so kind, such lovely comments always and they mean more than you can know. I just wish I could one time win a game of Words… Just one???

    Hi Jules
Rob was my very close friend. I have known him for 21 years, initially through a small group of Sports technologists in a group we call HESTA.
In the last few years my own business has been collaborating closely with Evan and Rob in Kinetic.
I stayed with Rob and Kathreen a few months back and witnessed their life with the kids first hand. I watched Rob building iceboxes and chip heaters for the trip and admired his commitment to the big holiday.
Such a loss. I am lost for words.
Anyway, enough of me. I just thought I’d let you know that HESTA members want to help.
I will send the bank details out for their contributions.
When you pass it on to the kids , let them know Robs mates are thinking of them.

Hi Christa, It is entirely appropriate for me – I even procrastinate on craft, if I have a quilt to make, I’ll find something to distract me – attention span of a gnat here! I look forward to meeting you in Austin.

I love hearing what you have to say, please leave a comment here, thanks :) I will reply to your comment here however if you would prefer a private response, please email me :: procrasticraft {at} gmail {dot} com
